Floral Concepts offers same-day flower delivery in Houston when you order by 1 PM, Monday to Friday. During Thanksgiving week, the same-day cutoff is same like normal days. Every arrangement is designed in our Houston shop and delivered by our own drivers.
Thanksgiving sneaks up on everyone. Between planning the menu, coordinating family and travel, flowers are often the last thing on the list. The good news: if you are reading this a day or two before the holiday, you probably still have time. Here is how last-minute Thanksgiving flower delivery works in Houston, and how to make sure your flowers arrive on time.

Is It Too Late to Order Thanksgiving Flowers?
Usually not. Because we design every arrangement in our own Houston shop, we can make and deliver many Thanksgiving arrangements the same day they are ordered. What changes as Thanksgiving gets closer is choice, not availability: the earlier you order, the more designs and sizes you can pick from.
As a rule of thumb:
A week or more ahead: full selection, any delivery day you like.
Two or three days ahead: most designs are still available; delivery days start to fill.
The same day: still possible on regular weekdays before the cutoff, with a florist-chosen seasonal design if a specific one is sold out.
Thanksgiving-Week Cutoffs and the Busiest Days
Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The three days before it are among the busiest of our year:
Monday, November 23: a good day for office arrangements and early hosts.
Tuesday, November 24: the most popular day for centerpieces and host gifts.
Wednesday, November 25: the last delivery day before Thanksgiving, and the day routes fill fastest. Order early in the morning.
Same-day cutoff during Thanksgiving week: 1:00 Pm. Thanksgiving Day itself (Nov 26): closed for delivery.
If you can, order by Friday, November 20. That gives you the widest choice and your pick of delivery days.
What's Available for Same-Day Delivery
For same-day orders, we design from the fresh flowers in our cooler that morning. During Thanksgiving week that usually means fall favorites: sunflowers, orange and red roses, chrysanthemums, alstroemeria, carnations, berries and seasonal greenery. Popular same-day choices include:
Low Thanksgiving centerpieces for the dining table
Fall bouquets in a vase, ready to display
Small host-gift arrangements
Green and blooming plants, which travel well and last for weeks
Same-Day Flowers to a Host's Home
Sending flowers to the person hosting Thanksgiving? Schedule delivery for Tuesday or Wednesday so the arrangement is on the table before guests arrive and the host isn't interrupted while cooking. Choose an arrangement that comes in a vase or container, so they don't need to find one.
Same-Day Flowers to a Hospital
Many families spend Thanksgiving visiting someone in the hospital. Flowers can brighten a patient's room, but check first: ICU, oncology and some other units don't allow fresh flowers. Include the patient's full name, hospital, building and room number. Learn more about

Same-Day Flowers to a Funeral Home
Losing someone during the holidays is especially hard. If a service falls during Thanksgiving week, order as early as you can and include the service date and time so flowers arrive before visitation. Our guide to
funeral flowers in Houston explains standing sprays, casket sprays and what to write on the card.
Why Order Last-Minute Flowers from a Local Houston Florist
When time is short, who you order from matters. Many national flower websites take your order, then pass it to a local shop and keep part of the price, which adds another step and another chance for delays. Ordering directly from a local florist means the people taking your order are the same people designing and delivering it.
Because Floral Concepts designs every arrangement in our Houston shop and runs our own delivery routes, we know exactly what is in the cooler and how full each route is that day. That's what makes last-minute
flower delivery in Houston possible, even during the busiest week of the fall.
Tips to Avoid a Failed Delivery
Most missed deliveries come down to a missing detail. Before you check out:
Add the recipient's phone number so the driver can reach them.
Include gate codes, apartment or suite numbers and building names.
For hospitals, add the room number; for funeral homes, the service time.
Double-check the delivery date, especially if you order late at night.
Write a short card message, so your flowers say who they're from.
