Not everyone can make it to the same table on Thanksgiving. Some of us live miles from family, some are spending the holiday at a friend's home, and some are missing someone this year. Thanksgiving flower delivery is a simple way to be part of the day, even when you can't be there in person.
Who to Send Thanksgiving Flowers To
Thanksgiving is a holiday about gratitude, so the list is often longer than people expect. The most common people our customers send flowers to are:
Family you can't visit this year, such as parents, grandparents or siblings in another part of Houston or out of town.
The host, the person cooking for everyone and opening their home.
A friend spending the holiday alone, who will appreciate knowing someone is thinking of them.
Clients, coworkers and business partners, as a thank-you at the end of the year.
Someone facing their first holiday after a loss, when a gentle gesture means a great deal.
Thanksgiving Flower Gift Ideas by Person
For the host
Send a centerpiece the day before Thanksgiving, already arranged and ready for the table. Hosts have enough to do without hunting for a vase, so a finished arrangement is the most practical gift you can give. Keep it low so guests can see each other across the table. Our
Thanksgiving centerpiece guide explains how to pick the right size for the table.
For family you can't visit
A fall bouquet of sunflowers, orange roses, mums and seasonal greenery brings Thanksgiving colors into their home. Choose an arrangement in a vase so it lasts through the long weekend, and pair it with a personal card message.
For clients and coworkers
A desk arrangement, an orchid or a green plant works well in an office and lasts long after the holiday. For larger teams, a lobby or reception arrangement is a thank-you everyone can enjoy. Our
corporate flowers in Houston page explains office deliveries and holiday orders for businesses.
For someone who is grieving
The first Thanksgiving after a loss can be one of the hardest days of the year. Soft colors, white flowers or a living plant send comfort without feeling festive. If you are not sure what to choose, our guide to
sympathy flowers in Houston can help.
Add a little extra
Want the gift to feel even more personal? Pair the flowers with chocolates, a scented candle or a small plant they can keep after the holiday. For a host, a second small bouquet for the guest bathroom or entryway is a thoughtful touch. For family far away, a handwritten-style card message makes the delivery feel like a visit. Our team can help you put together a gift that fits your budget when you order.
What to Write on a Thanksgiving Card
Short and sincere is best. Here are messages our customers use most often:
"Thankful for you today and every day. Happy Thanksgiving!"
"Wish we could be at the table with you. Sending love and a little color for your feast."
"Thank you for opening your home and your heart. Happy Thanksgiving!"
"Grateful for family near and far. Enjoy every bite!"
"Thinking of you this Thanksgiving. You're never far from our hearts."
"Thank you for a wonderful year of working together. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us."
"Grateful for your partnership and wishing your team a restful holiday."
"Holding you close in our thoughts this Thanksgiving. With love."
"Thankful for friends like you. Have a warm and happy holiday!"
